Ben Nash is the Associate Director, Education for Children Now, where he leads policy and advocacy work on higher education, expanded learning, Local Control and Accountability Plans (LCAPs), and education data, and supports work on school funding and the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF).
Prior to joining Children Now, Ben was the Policy Manager at the Partnership for Children and Youth, where he led the California Afterschool Advocacy Alliance (CA3), managing the policy agenda and advocacy efforts of a statewide network of school districts, afterschool and summer learning programs, and advocates. He began his career as a Fellow and legislative aide in the California State Assembly.
Ben holds a Master of Public Policy degree from UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy. He received his Bachelor of Science from UC Berkeley after transferring from Chabot College.
