Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
Children Now’s comprehensive benefits program provides medical, dental and vision insurance plans for the employee, spouse, registered domestic partner and dependent children. Unlike a majority of employers today, Children Now pays 100% of the premiums for full-time employees and their dependents.
Professional Development Resources
Children Now invests in its employees by providing a designated dollar amount annually to each employee to, among other things, attend external training and conferences or for membership in professional organizations.
Paid Time Off
Children Now believes that taking vacation and other paid time off plays a role in improving energy levels at work. Regular full-time employees enjoy:
• Vacation – 15 days/year for the first 3 years of service and 20 days thereafter
• Sick Leave – 12 days/year
• Holidays – 9 holidays/year, plus the days between Christmas and New Year’s Day; also includes 1 Floating Holiday/year.
Children’s Service Leave
To support more adult involvement with kids, Children Now offers a paid Children’s Service Leave of up to eight hours per month to eligible employees who volunteer as a youth mentor, coach, or adviser.
Tax-Deferred Annuity 403(b) Plan
Children Now encourages employees to consider their long-term financial needs by offering a program in which individuals can voluntarily set aside pre-tax dollars for retirement savings. As an added feature and incentive, Children Now also provides a matching contribution of up to 6% of an enrolled employee’s salary.
Flexible Benefits Plans
Children Now offers flexible spending accounts for employees to pay for out-of-pocket health and/or dependent care expenses and for out-of-pocket transit and parking expenses, with pre-tax dollars; commuter checks are also available.
A generous $50,000 life insurance plan is provided by Children Now to every eligible employee.
To recognize and reward long-term employees, Children Now makes bonus payments to them, ranging from $1,000 to $2,000, upon reaching certain anniversary milestones with the organization.
Short- and Long-Term Disability Plans
Children Now provides eligible employees with some peace of mind in the event of a temporary or prolonged illness/injury with partial income replacement plans.
