Ruby Arceo is Children Now’s Policy & Government Relations Administrative Assistant.
Prior to working at Children Now, Ruby completed the Jesse M. Unruh Assembly Fellowship Program, where she performed the duties of a Legislative Aide in an Assemblymember’s Capitol office. This experience strengthened her passion to advocate for underserved youth and families by giving them a voice in policy. In addition, Ruby worked at Building Futures with Women and Children, where she created a children’s program at two domestic violence shelters in the Bay Area, offered crisis counseling for youth, and connected mothers and children to local and state services.
Ruby received her bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in writing at the University of California, Merced. She also received a graduate certificate in Applied Policy and Government from Sacramento State through the Assembly Fellowship Program.
