Stacy Lee is the Chief Learning Officer and Senior Managing Director, Early Childhood for Children Now. She has over 25 years of experience in policy, advocacy, and strategy development in children’s policy and grantmaking. She provides organization-wide leadership focusing on supervision and racial equity initiatives and oversees the early childhood strategy across the organization. She has worked in close partnership with organizations around the state to garner major wins, including the adoption of a new home visiting program within CALWORKs, winning billions in funding for early learning and supporting local, regional and statewide collaboratives to strengthen infrastructure for families with young children.
Prior to joining Children Now, Ms. Lee was Director of the Office of Strategic Planning and Integration at First 5 LA, and also served as the Policy Manager where she managed an $18 million portfolio of grants focused on early childhood policy and advocacy; oversaw state lobbying efforts; led the agency’s policy strategy development focused on early education and home visiting advocacy; and developed partnerships and coalitions with funders and advocates at the local, state, and federal levels. Ms. Lee holds a B.A. in geography with a focus on urban and regional development and a minor in Asian American Studies from UCLA. She also holds an Executive MBA from the Drucker School of Management at Claremont Graduate University.
