At Duke, Sydney is an undergraduate research assistant for the Duke Early Experience and Developing Brain lab, which strives to integrate  early childhood mental health research, practice, and policy to inform social policies that will help support a strong, healthy foundation for young, vulnerable children. She also is an executive board member of Duke DevilThon, Duke’s chapter of the nationwide Dance Marathon movement to raise money for their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.  Sydney is excited to dive into policy with Children Now and advocate for children in the state of California this summer!
