Maria Arms is one of the seven fellows of the Children’s Movement Equity Fellowship Program.
Prior to joining Children Now, Maria worked as an intern at the Outdoor Foundation, where she conducted research and strategized with the development team and board on prospective partners for programs that increase access to the outdoors for low-income children and children of color. Maria has experience working in California schools, as she worked as a Summer Teaching Fellow at Prospect Sierra School and as a Teaching Intern at North Davis Elementary School. Maria has spent her time in college working as a research assistant in the UC Davis Infant Cognition Lab and as a copy editor of The California Aggie and will resume these positions in the fall.
Maria is pursuing her B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Education at the University of California, Davis.
