Katherine Wei (she/her) is a rising junior at the University of California, Berkeley intending to major in public health. As a UC Berkeley Public Service Center intern, she helped upgrade Resourceful, an online waste-sorting tool and eco-directory, for the Ecology Center and supported youth outreach for the annual Zero Waste Youth Convergence. She also volunteers at the UC Berkeley Food Pantry and recovers leftover meals to serve students and faculty in need. Katherine plans on earning an M.P.H./M.D. and bridging health inequities facing disadvantaged communities through infectious disease prevention and treatment. In her free time, Katherine enjoys going on evening runs, binge-watching a good Netflix show (currently Community) and hanging with her two cats, Grey and Bailey.
