Carter Ashforth (she/hers) supports the communications work of the organization, which includes media relations, social media, coordinating events and webinars, and assisting with cross-team projects and deliverables.

Prior to joining Children Now, Ms. Ashforth worked as the Volunteer & Corporate Outreach Manager at Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF). In her role, she managed: individual and corporate volunteer programs, the volunteer department’s budget, and the organization’s NextGen Leadership Council. Before joining BGCSF, she worked on the development and communications team at Family Centers, Inc., an education, health, and human services agency in Connecticut.

Ms. Ashforth is a current Master of Public Administration & Policy student at the School of Public Affairs at American University and has a BA in English from Gettysburg College.
