Legislation

Children Now works with Congress and the Federal Communications Commission to ensure there are media policies in place that serve the child and youth audience.  We commission original research about emerging issues in the children and the media field, share our findings with policymakers and make recommendations to ensure that the needs of children are a top priority.

CAMRA
In May, Senators Lieberman (D-CT), Brownback (R-KS), Clinton (D-NY) and Santorum (R-PA) introduced the Children's Media Research Advancement Act (CAMRA), which would fund a program within the National Institute of Child Health and Development to study the role and impact of electronic media in children's development.
