Preschool for All Advocacy Day

Children Now and Preschool California hosted Preschool Advocacy Day on August 31, 2005, at the Sacramento Convention Center. It attracted statewide preschool champions who spoke to an audience of over 400 influential California business, education, health, labor and community leaders. Participants represented 33 counties, from as far north as Tehama County to as far south as San Diego County.

The event rallied support for greater public investment in preschool opportunity for all. As kindergarteners from all over California attend school for the first time, preschool opportunity remains limited despite strong parent demand for publicly-funded programs.

Special thanks to all of the speakers and participants who contributed to this event and helped us move closer to the goal of ensuring a preschool opportunity for all.
