Medi-Cal provides comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for low-income, uninsured children. Medi-Cal is California’s public health insurance for low-income children and families.
Children are eligible if they meet the following age and income levels.
| Age | Family Income |

| Birth to 1 year (and pregnant women) | At or below 200% of FPL* |
| 1 to 6 years | At or below 133% of FPL |
| 6 to 19 years | At or below 100% of FPL |
| 19 to 21 years | At or below 92% of FPL |
Parents are eligible if their family income is at or below 100% of FPL* and meet the resource limit. “Resources” are things a family owns, such as property, and savings and checking accounts.

Medi-Cal for children and families is free. Families may be eligible for share-of-cost Medi-Cal if their incomes are higher than the Medi-Cal income guidelines. Children may be eligible for Healthy Families if their incomes are higher than the Medi-Cal income guidelines. Visit their website for more information about Medi-Cal.
