Marketing & Partnerships
Mr. Kennedy manages all of Children Now’s marketing and development projects. He specializes in messaging and planning. In these capacities he leads the organization’s strategic development, and is responsible for all communication with the media, general public, foundations and donors.
He previously worked in the private sector as a marketing professional, including positions with Autodesk as Director of Brand Development and with Macromedia as Director of Global Marketing. At Macromedia, he held the primary responsibility for strategic planning, messaging, implementation, and measurement of global marketing campaigns for Macromedia’s Flash, Dreamweaver, Studio, Fireworks, FreeHand, and Flex product lines, which accounted for the vast majority of the company’s revenues.
His other experience includes working in New York’s advertising industry managing high-profile client engagements including Bristol-Myers Squibb and E*Trade. Mr. Kennedy’s experience is weighted to messaging strategy, internet marketing and business development. All of which he believes effectively translate from the private sector to efforts for the public good. He graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Economics and minors in English and Fine Arts.
