John Garcia

Kaiser Permanente, Vice President, Government Relations

John Garcia is Vice President of Government Relations for Kaiser Permanente in California.  He leads advocacy efforts for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc., Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, The Permanente Medical Group, and the Southern California Permanente Medical Group.  John has been with Kaiser Permanente for 17 years.

He is on the board of directors and advisory boards of various organizations, including Children Now, Latino Community Foundation, California Center for Civic Participation, John Burton Foundation for Children Without Homes, and the Hispanic Community Affairs Council.  John was also selected as American Diabetes Association’s “Father of the Year” in Sacramento in 2010.

John earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from California State University at Hayward.  He is also a graduate of Kaiser Permanente’s Advanced Leadership Program at the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flager Business School in 2006.  John currently resides in Pleasanton, CA with his wife Arcy.  His son and daughter, Roberto and Andrea attend Claremont McKenna College and Northeastern University, respectively.
