Mark T. Johnsen is respected for his ingenuity and insight as Chief Wealth Architect and strategic advisor to Wealth Architects’ affluent clients, particularly those with highly concentrated wealth. During his 11 years prior experience at Smith Barney, he advised a broad group of clients, including entrepreneurs, executives, and families from many of America’s leading corporations. While serving as Senior Investment Management Consultant and First Vice President-Investments, Mr. Johnsen was one of only a handful of Smith Barney’s more than 10,000 financial consultants to earn the Advisor, Private Wealth Management designation—a recognition awarded to an elite group of consultants with a particular proficiency in comprehensively advising affluent clients. Prior to Smith Barney, he worked with the investment firm, Oppenheimer & Company, in Los Angeles.

Mr. Johnsen attended UCLA and earned his B.A. in Political Science and Business Administration. He is married to his college sweetheart, Samantha, and they are the proud parents of three children. Mr. Johnsen is an alumnus of Leadership Mountain View, member of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation Council Advisors, and also serves on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Silicon Valley, where he is chairman of the YMCA Association’s Investment Committee. In 2007, he received the Red Triangle Award, awarded to one outstanding volunteer who demonstrates exemplary leadership in support of the mission of the YMCA for more than 10 years.
