Early learning advocates, community organizations, and school leaders are faced with an exciting opportunity. As California school districts transition to the state’s new K-12 funding model, the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF), they can make the case to expand the ELD programs and services we know benefit kids from grade school through adulthood.

Under LCFF, education stakeholders, in partnership with their communities, now have more flexibility and planning opportunities than ever before. This means ELD supporters can work in collaboration with districts to provide more high-quality learning opportunities for our youngest children in communities throughout California.
