Program Summary

Kaiser Permanente Child Health Plan provides low cost health care coverage for uninsured children under the age of 19 who are not eligible to participate in Medi-Cal, Healthy Families or have any other health insurance. Call the number below for more information.

Who is eligible?

Children under age 19 (birth through age 18) who are not currently insured, are not eligible for government health care coverage, such as Medi-Cal, Healthy Families, California Children’s Services, or health coverage that is paid for, in any part, by an employer, and whose primary income is at or below 300% FPL*.

What are the benefits?

Comprehensive preventive, primary and specialty health care coverage: medical office visits, vision care, dental services, prescription drugs, mental health services, substance abuse services, health education, hospital services and needed lab tests.

How much does it cost?

Premiums paid every month:

  • Premiums paid every month: $8 or $15 per child, per month, for up to three children, depending on your family size and income. Additional children are covered at no extra premium.Co-payments: paid for services received.

  • Co-payments: $5 to $10 for some services.
